About OurHouse

Loving your kids is easy. Juggling everything that comes with them isn’t. OurHouse was founded as a sanctuary for our fellow parents. Because we knew there had to be a better alternative to pricey playdates and freezing playgrounds.

Children play in a soft, indoor play area; one child presses a bubble-making toy with an adult, while two kids in animal costumes walk nearby, all surrounded by pastel-colored padded walls and playful decorations.

Meet Charlie. Founder and dad of three.

OurHouse began with a simple frustration.

When my sons, Jaego and Jesse, were four and two, I’d just sold my previous business, Incipio Group, and stepped into a different (…and more challenging) role of full-time parenting. Immersed in the rhythm and madness of family life, I began to notice a recurring problem everywhere we went: spaces that claimed to welcome families, but rarely seemed to understand them.

Local children’s activities were uninspiring with little variety and childcare was expensive. And while I loved being with my kids, the idea of having the odd couple of hours to just myself once in a while also didn’t feel unreasonable either. I felt we could do better and build something that would suit my family and thousands of other families like ours.

Two women sit at a marble table in a cozy cafe with a baby and a toddler. Dried flowers in a large vase decorate the table, and other people are seated in the background near the bar and green-tiled counter.A young child smiles while sitting at the top of an indoor slide structure, and another child with curly hair plays nearby. The play area has netting, pastel colors, and playful decor on the walls.

OurHouse was designed to make it all easy. There are no formalities here, just magic amongst the madness, love, chaos and all things in between. Places where children can move, make noise, create mess and be themselves, and where parents don’t feel the need to apologise, intervene constantly, or stay on edge.

From the beginning, the aim was simple: to create Houses that both children and parents wanted to be in. Jaego’s was the first, designed for real life – for days that unravel, for children with energy to burn, and for parents trying to hold everything together at once. Jesse’s followed soon after, and together they proved the idea worked. Orly’s is next, opening April 2027, with Olive’s and Leo’s close behind and more already in motion.

Each House is shaped by its neighbourhood of families. That meant obsessing over the details and getting it right. It’s the little things: being remembered; menus designed for real life (including meals you can eat one-handed); a calm, generous welcome – even on loud, unpredictable days.

What began as one House has grown into something bigger: a different way of thinking about how families live, move, and spend time together.

Welcome to OurHouse. I hope you make it your home too.
